Thank you everyone for your response to the post where I listed my 10 Best MAC Red Lipsticks for the Indian Skin Tone. I’m back again as promised with another Top 10 list and this time, it is my 10 Best MAC Neutral Lip Colors for the Indian Skin Tone. I mention lip colors and not lipsticks because I’ve also added a gloss and two of my favorite n*de shades of lip liners in the list.

We all know what a pain it can be to find that perfect n*de specially if you have a medium to dark skin tone like I do. After a lot of trial and testing, I now know what kind of n*des suit me. I always go for shades that have either pink, peach or brown undertones. These colors make me look fresh and not washed out. MAC has a wide range of n*ude lipsticks, glosses and lip liners that cater to every skin tone. Here’s my list of the 10 Best MAC Neutral Lip Colors for the Indian Skin Tone.

MAC Lip Blossom; This lipstick was originally released in Asia only, but they put it on their permanent international list soon after. MAC labels it as a shimmery pink, and I this depends on your skin tone and lip color, but I see it as a much peachier in pink with gold shimmer. It arrives with the well-loved lustre finish that is known for. Very natural lip liner! This is a great formula! Lucy loves beauty from Brick, NJ. Been using this pencil for 25 years. A staple in my makeup bag. I would but again. Tenibrys from McDonough, GA. I used this liner with the Velvet Teddy lipstick. Perfect neutral color combination. Get ready for some kind of wonderful! Are Mac Lip Liners Worth It

Mac Brick is a great lipliner, especially for people who love their red lipsticks. I use Brick with Mac red shades, Dr. Hauschka 04 and Lavera deep red.

MAC Taupe – a matte finish lipstick and MAC describes it as a muted reddish taupe brown. This color might be too brown on fair skin tones but on medium to dark skin tones, this is perfection.

MAC Pander Me – this color was launched last year as part of the new Matte Lip Collection. MAC describes it as a “soft peachy mocha” and again, it is a great every day wear lipstick. The color is very similar to Taupe and another popular MAC shade, Mocha.

MAC Midimauve – Midimauve is in a Lustre finish so the coverage and staying power is not as good as the mattes but it is a beautiful shade on the Indian skin tone. MAC describes it as a “rosy mauve with pearl” and this color looks particularly good when paired with smokey eyes.

MAC Spirit – a satin finish lipstick described as a “muted pinky beige brown”. I love the MAC satin finish because it’s not as drying as the mattes but provide equal coverage and lasts for a long time. The color is slightly light on me but since it has pink undertones, does not wash me out. On skin tones darker than NC43, Spirit might wash you out if worn on it’s own so do pair it with a lip liner or lip gloss.

MAC Fast Play – This one is my favorite of the lot. Described as a “neutral pink lipstick”, it is in an amplified finish. Fast Play is a color that is universally flattering on any skin tone. You just can’t go wrong with it!

MAC Persistence – This color is almost always out of stock because it is that popular! If you are looking for that perfect 90’s style warm matte brown that is so trendy right now, go for Persistence. It came out in the new Matte Lip Collection and has been made permanent. Beautiful color!

MAC Whirl – With last year’s Matte lip collection, MAC came out with the lipstick version of their famous Whirl lip liner. The color is described as a “dirty rose” and has a hint of brown. Beautiful everyday n*de shade.

MAC Whirl Lip Liner – The famous Kylie Jenner lip? It is said that Whirl played a very important role in it in the pre Kylie Lip Kit era.

MAC Soar Lip Liner – This is hands down my favorite lip liner from MAC. The problem is that Soar is very hard to find because this shade is almost always out of stock. Soar has more pink in it than Whirl and the texture is absolutely beautiful. This lip liner is so creamy that you can wear it as a lipstick as well.

MAC Hyper Fabulous Vamplify Lip Gloss – Hyper Fabulous is a limited edition but there is a reason why I added it to this list. MAC is coming out with new shades in the Vamplify lip gloss range and there is a shade Fab Tested which is 95% close to Hyper Fabulous. The collection will probably come out next month so if you love this one, you can check out Fab Tested. I love the Vamplify glosses because they have such a beautiful formula. Excellent pigmentation, moisturises the lips and stays longer than normal glosses.

That was my list of the 10 Best MAC Neutral Lip Colors for the Indian Skin Tone. There is another shade that I wanted to add to the list but I just could not find it in my stock anywhere:(. The shade is Creme In Your Coffee, another pinkish brown shade which looks really pretty. There are many more shades like Mocha, Twig, Retro etc that will work beautifully on Indian skin tones but the ones that I listed above are my favorites. BTW, prices of all MAC products have increased by 15% and the permanent lipsticks now cost Rs 1500 🙁

That is the question that crosses the mind of every girl atleast once daily! When you buy your first MAC lipstick, you can’t just stop there and before you know you are hooked to everything MAC. And then you start googling “top mac lipsticks” “best mac lipsticks” and so on. When I started writing this post. 1. MAC Mehr:

Mehr is just like Cosmo but with a matte finish. It is a brownish pink lipsticks which is always OOS in all MAC stores because of the high demand. It looks so natural and in harmony with the rest of your makeup and is a great pick if you are not into attention grabbing lipsticks.

2. MAC Ruby Woo or Riri Woo:

They say when you’re in doubt, wear red! I Say when you’re in doubt, wear Ruby Woo. Or Riri Woo from Rihanna Collection. This lipstick makes you feel bold just like Rihanna. This shade is a cool red with a retro matte finish and surprisingly suits every skin tone. Amazing packaging. A single swipe will cover it all. It lasts easily for 6 hours.

3. MAC Twig:

An elegant shade of pink which has hints of brown in it. This shade will suit almost all skin tones. It has a very smooth and creamy texture but looks matte on the lips. Its opaque, hydrating, glides very smoothly and staying power is good!

4. MAC Speak Louder:

A reddish pink creamy lipstick. Glides on very smoothly. Lasts for more than 4 hours with small snacks & drinks, leaving behind a beautiful tint. It moisturizes the lips while it lasts. It’s bright, but not neon. Easily wearable during both day and night. One of the easiest pink lipsticks to carry.

5. MAC Mocha

Mocha on your lips, sounds yummy. Doesn’t it? Anyway this is a beautiful shade which is slightly peachy brown in colour with yellow undertones. It is a satin finish lipstick but its texture is almost matte and long lasting. Working women can easily pick this shade without a doubt. Can be easily used for office wear or with smokey eyes. One of the best brown lipsticks out there.

6. MAC Chili:

Scared of wearing a red lipstick – MAC Chili is your saviour. Beautiful colour – orangish brick red. Suits Indian skin tones really well. Me Likes: unique shade, good pigmentation, matte finish, not drying & long lasting. It really is a hot chili red!

7. MAC Rebel:

One shade from MAC which will definitely suit the warm toned Indian skin. It’s a pretty plum colour with a subtle sheen. It does tend to look a little vampy in the packaging but it looks oh – so – gorgeous on the lips! Plus points: highly pigmented, does not settle in lines and easily stays on for 5 hours!

8. MAC Creme In Your Coffee:

Mac Crème In Your Coffee is a creamy pinkish brown shade which suits the Indian skin so beautifully. This is an everyday wear lipstick – perfect for working women and those who are scared to wear bright shades. Pros: smooth & creamy, doesn’t bleed on lips, very hydrating & gives a glossy look to lips.

9. MAC Relentlessly Red:

A bright carrot pink which will light up your face. It has a very nice retro matte finish and the colour lasts easily for 6 hours, leaving behind a lovely deep tint. Best part – it doesn’t transfer. Infact Dangerous is also a great pick from the retro matte collection.

10. MAC Girl About Town:

I’d rate GAT as the best fuchsia lipstick available. It suits almost all Indian skin tones. A great shade for winters. It has a very creamy and moisturizing texture. This shade can add some freshness to a dull looking face. It easily stays on 6 hours with light snacks and drinks. Brownie points: does not settle in fine lines, does not smear, highly moisturizing and completely opaque with just one swipe.

So this was our list of the best MAC lipsticks available in India which go well with our yellow toned medium skin. The girls with pink tones can also choose from the list because a lot of these shades are very versatile.
